Sheremetevo
Moscow Sheremetevo Airport looks really empty and deserted. Looks like everybody flies through Domodedovo. On the other hand the was no traffic from the subway Rechnoy vokzal to the aiport, took me 10 min. and 60 rubles (eq. of 2$) to get there.

russian national holiday
saw a lot of buses packed with students heading to the center. Another organises demonstration of support, what students get for that: a lunch, a day of....a better grade. maybe.

Belorus travel
Planning to go to Minsk and Vitebsk the next week. Everybody who visits Belarus is surprised by the unexpected prosperity, good roads and good food. The papers and the news say quite opposite. Gonna check it out by myself. Actually to my experience in the Ukraine, life is not that bad as the newspapers say. Even during the crisis pensions are being paid and life is cheaper then in Russia .
Berlin
Driving from the Schoneberg International aiport to Berlin was like driving from Sheremetevo aiport to Moscow - terrible roads and very Soviet houses. except for the traffic, in Moscow it is MORE intense. Eastern Berlin is more Soviet then Russia, I find it really amasing. Even the tzazkis they sell in the center is the same as in Moscow: matreshis and Russian military hats.
Ukraine Tour
I have spent 5 days travelling in Ukraine 10 days ago and was pleasantly surprised with Kiev wich is could be called Paris of the East. Moscow is not even close in terms of infrustructure and tourist friendliness. Besides, nobody is required a visa. And even at the central Station you can get a free wifi and decent espresso.
